Sustainable Ventures offer 18 Raleigh Captus electric bikes in two different contexts. The first project provides the bikes in housing developments in low income communities in the east of England and the second project is managed by the Hook Norton Low Carbon Group in Oxfordshire.
Electric bikes provided in housing developments are aimed at combating transport poverty in these areas. Orwell Housing association in Ipswich, Lowestoft and Felixstowe offer their staff and residents free usage of the electric bikes for journeys including care workers attending appointments.
Residents at Hundred Housing in Chesterton, Cambridge also have access to electric bikes for personal travel.
Hook Norton Low Carbon Group offer their members free usage of electric bikes to explore the Oxfordshire countryside, nearby villages and towns of Chipping Norton and Banbury.
