We co-hosted the Shared Transport Roadshow with Transport for Greater Manchester at the University of Salford, Peel Park Campus on Wednesday 28th June.
This event was our first opportunity meet with members and stakeholders in person since the Covid-19 pandemic. We heard from a range of speakers who presented on the benefits of shared transport in the UK, the importance of integrating shared transport into the upcoming Bee Network in Greater Manchester, research on the shared e-scooter trials in Greater Manchester, and the community-wide impact of the Station South Community Mobility Hub in Levenshulme.
Speakers:
Following the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to try out a range of micromobility vehicles including shared bikes, cargo bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters. Additionally, attendees could take part in a guided tour of the 'light touch' mobility hub at Salford Crescent and test out prototypes for e-scooter sounds. The event finished with a cycle tour to Media City Salford using Cycle Hire and Lime scooters.
