Travelling without a car in and around Tamfourhill, Camelon and Falkirk

No. F14A bus (McGill’s):

  • Runs between Tamfourhill and Etna Road for the Kelpies, via Falkirk community hospital and Falkirk Grahamston station
  • Stops on Cumbrae Drive outside the community hub
  • Buses run every two hours from morning to late afternoon (see timetable)

Bus travel is free with a National Entitlement Card (e.g. under 22s or over 60s) or from £5.95 for a Falkirkzone unlimited Day Saver ticket (see McGill’s website for fares info).

You can walk or wheel to most places in Tamfourhill in around 15 minutes. Walking is good for your health and your wallet, as well as good for the planet.

Most places in Tamfourhill can be reached by bike in 5 minutes. It also only takes around 10-15 minutes to reach Falkirk town centre, Camelon and Falkirk High train stations and Falkirk Community Hospital. You can plan your cycling route using the CycleStreets website or app.

Cycling Scotland run adult cycle training courses for all abilities, you can find out more on their website.

You can borrow a free bike from FEL Scotland, which is based in Stirling. FEL Scotland has a range of bikes you could borrow, including e-bikes, push (standard) bikes or cargo bikes. To find out more visit their website or pop into FEL Scotland’s active travel hub at Stirling train station (see opening hours here).
